Since my philosophy class in 10th grade, I've thought the power of the Lysistrata strike is far under-used in our culture today. I'm all for it.
It is absolutely about sex and property.

In principle I agree with such strikes - they can be very effective however:

a) It requires solidarity - in large and fluid societies there may be insufficient social ties to engender the sort of large scale trust and cooperation required to make such an action succeed.

b) There has to be a noticeable difference when the strike is on.

Escorts are saying "No" to bankers.



A bit suprrsied it seems to simple and yet useful.
